Job summary

Alcon is seeking an Associate II, Electromechanical Technical Support, to join the Engineering function in Johns Creek, GA. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, testing, and assembling electro-mechanical systems, with strict adherence to SOPs and GxP controls.

You will install, calibrate, test, repair, and upgrade equipment, supporting engineers with technical solutions and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems and performing testing and assembly tasks.
• Ability to inspect and maintain equipment using diagnostic tools and software.
• Familiarity with documenting work and maintaining quality control in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex tasks related to design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of electro-mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot, test, and assemble electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Assist in reworking, repairing, and modifying non-conforming equipment.
• Install, calibrate, test, repair, and upgrade equipment and systems, including components of devices, control equipment, operation panels, and facility infrastructure.
• Assist engineers with developing technical solutions related to the operation and performance of devices and systems.
• Inspect and maintain equipment using tools and diagnostic software.
• Use computer-aided-design software to model proposed systems to assess safety and reliability.
• Make strategic decisions within your project area, driving project performance and technological innovation.
• Stay current with advances in electromechanical systems.
• Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control.
• Complete all required training.
• Meet individual job requirements and contribute to the overall compliance of the organization.
• Commit to continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements.
