Job summary

Filamatic, a division of National Instrument, LLC, is seeking an Electromechanical Technician in Baltimore, MD. You will assemble and test custom industrial filling and packaging machinery, interpreting mechanical and electrical diagrams and working with PLCs and pneumatics.

You’ll collaborate with a skilled team and prepare systems for customer acceptance testing. Ideal candidates have an associate degree or technical certification, experience with electromechanical systems, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or Technical Trade certification in engineering or mechatronics.
• Knowledge of complex electromechanical systems or capital equipment.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, including basic PLCs and pneumatics.
• Comfort reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Proficiency using hand, power, and air tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Working knowledge of servo motor control is a plus.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with CNC or manual machining.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom machinery using hand tools, precision instruments, and detailed blueprints
• Wire, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components to meet customer specs
• Set up and test equipment with actual customer products
• Prepare machinery for shipping and support final system checks
