Job summary

The Electromechanical Technician at BD in USA NE - Columbus (East) maintains and optimizes production equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations. You will collaborate with Controls Coordinators and Process Engineers to implement enhancements, diagnose PLCs, robotics, and vision systems, and uphold BD Quality Systems and safety requirements.

This night-shift role features a rotating 12-hour schedule; strong problem-solving, technical communication, and teamwork are essential for improving

Qualifications

Associate's degree in electromechanical technology required.
Experience in manufacturing and automated production equipment is preferred.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills required.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Experience with robotics, machine vision, and industrial networks is desirable.

Responsibilities

Support process improvements with mechanical, electrical, controls, robotics, and machine vision.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical/mechanical equipment.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance for reliability.
Diagnose and maintain PLCs.
Maintain robotic systems and automated equipment.
Manage spare parts inventory and document quality records.
Train operators on equipment operation and safety.
Respond to after-hours equipment issues as needed.
Provide leadership and technical support to associates.
Update Quality System documentation.
