Job summary

Charter Wire in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Technician for first shift. You will maintain and troubleshoot electromechanical production equipment, performing preventive maintenance and addressing issues to keep lines running smoothly.

This role requires strong knowledge of electrical theory, schematics, and codes, plus hands-on experience with line setups, testing equipment, and math skills. A technical degree or journeyman’s card is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience or a technical degree in a related field or journeyman’s card.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and code books.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, controls, and codes.
• Experience with line setups, inspections, and electrical testing equipment.
• Solid math skills (fractions, percentages, measurements).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve issues using blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep production running efficiently.
