Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an assembly technician to support failure analysis by reviewing assembly prints and procedures. The role involves setting up and operating product equipment, recording data, and performing in-process verifications including FAA documentation.

You will read complex drawings and specifications, comply with safety rules, and maintain a clean work environment while adhering to 5S standards and lean practices. 18+ months in electromechanical or electrical assembly is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED.
  • Experience in electromechanical, electrical assembly or electronic assembly.
  • Ability and willingness to lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability and willingness to use and understand mechanical / electrical measuring tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow assembly blueprints, work instructions, and component maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Work with and provide input to help in failure analysis using assembly prints/plans, test procedures, and manuals.
  • Set up and operate equipment common to the product with direction from technicians.
  • Check and record assembly data and perform in-process verification including FAA repair documentation.
  • Recognize process variation and adjust to compliant work practices.
  • Work from complex product drawings, manuals and specifications.
  • Comply with safety rules, wear PPE, and report safety concerns.
