Job summary

Airgas, Inc. in Waterford, CT is hiring an Electromechanical Repair Technician to maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and control systems on welding equipment for Airgas and customers.

You will diagnose issues, repair drives, inverters, transformers, and automation equipment, and manage parts inventory while documenting work hours for billing. Travel to customer sites (~85% local) is required to perform PMs, calibration (NIST traceable), and perform installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 21 years old with 2+ years related repair experience.
• Ability to read manuals and schematics; strong math skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and control functionality of welding equipment.
• Repair engine drives, inverters, transformers and automation equipment.
• Maintain parts inventory and document work hours for customer billing.
• Travel to customer sites to diagnose and resolve technical needs (85% local).
• Perform NIST traceable calibration and PMs on equipment and products.
