Job summary

Airgas in Odessa, TX is hiring a Repair Technician to repair, refurbish, and maintain engine-driven welding equipment and generators under the Branch Manager.

You will assemble, test, repaint, and service equipment for rental, coordinate parts, perform preventative maintenance, and provide on-site support as needed. A valid driver license and basic technical experience are preferred. Airgas offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• A Valid Driver License and good driving record.
• 0-1 years of related technical experience; we welcome those early in their career or transitioning from similar fields.
• A working knowledge of power generating and welding equipment is a plus.
• Thoroughness and care in technical tasks, paired with solid organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive with trusted autonomy while staying connected to team goals.

Responsibilities

• Repair, refurbish, and maintain engine-driven welding equipment and generators.
• Assemble electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental.
• Repaint parts, touches up paint, and apply decals to welders.
• Coordinate parts ordering to ensure timely repairs.
• Inspect returned equipment for proper operation and perform care updates.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and related shop equipment to manage parts.
• Prepare and complete documentation for machine repairs.
• Occasionally provide on-site service to support equipment and customers.
• Foster open communication with branch personnel and customers as needed.
