Job summary

Atomic Machines seeks an Electromechanical Prototype Technician in the Santa Clara area to execute complex build procedures across R&D projects. You will interpret detailed CAD models, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings to fabricate, assemble, and validate prototype systems.

You'll apply advanced wiring, soldering, harness fabrication, and mechanical assembly techniques, collaborating with design engineers to iterate prototypes while meeting functional and safety specs in a

Qualifications

• 6+ years of industry experience.
• Hands-on expertise in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience reading CAD drawings and schematics.
• Experience with wire harness assembly and PCB soldering.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, rework, troubleshoot, maintain, and test new machine designs.
• Perform PCB soldering and harness fabrication and system integration.
• Develop electromechanical assembly documentation and instructions.
• Operate mills, lathes, laser cutters, 3D printers, and tools to build prototypes.
• Collaborate with engineering to meet deadlines and safety specs.
• Maintain organized workspace and assist with inventory.
