Job summary

Atomic Machines is seeking an Electrical Integration Engineer (Electromechanical Focus) to design, build, and validate the electrical systems for our custom manufacturing equipment in Emeryville, CA. You will own integration from sensors and actuators to first article build and documentation, interfacing with electronics, wiring, firmware, and assemblies.

You will collaborate across electrical, mechanical, embedded, and manufacturing teams to convert early prototypes into reliable, scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience in a relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with electromechanical systems.
• Experience bringing up or troubleshooting electromechanical hardware.

Responsibilities

• Select and integrate sensors, actuators, third-party electronics, power components, cables, connectors, and interfaces.
• Design and build prototype interconnects, fixtures, and test setups.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers on packaging, routing, and serviceability.
• Troubleshoot electronics, wiring, firmware, and mechanical behavior.
• Create and maintain ICDs, interconnect diagrams, cable drawings, and work instructions.
