Job summary

The Hillman Group is seeking an Electromechanical Maintenance Technician III to serve as a senior technical resource in our manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and improve complex equipment and automated production systems, diagnose electrical and mechanical failures, and lead significant reliability projects.

You will mentor junior technicians, collaborate with Production and Engineering to maximize uptime, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Overview Of The Role – Electromechanical Maintenance Technician III

As an Electromechanical Maintenance Technician III in our manufacturing facility, you will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and improving complex manufacturing equipment and automated production systems. Your day may include diagnosing electrical and mechanical failures, troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, supporting automation systems, analyzing downtime trends, and leading significant repair or reliability improvement projects. You will work closely with Production, Engineering, and Operations teams to maximize equipment uptime and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


This role is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems, mentoring other technicians, and making a direct impact on equipment reliability, safety, and manufacturing performance. Successful candidates bring advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls troubleshooting skills along with the ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.

Education & Experience


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 3-5 years of manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or related experience.

  • Knowledge of advanced diagnostics for mechanical, electrical, and automated manufacturing systems.

  • Skill in performing root cause failure analysis and implementing corrective actions.

  • Ability to interface with PLCs, controls, and automation systems for diagnostic purposes.

  • Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance and equipment life-cycle principles.

  • Ability to mentor and develop less experienced maintenance technicians.

  • Ability to plan and execute complex maintenance and repair activities.

  • Ability to exercise independent technical judgment when resolving high-impact equipment issues.

Work Environment

Self-paced, 8 hr shifts. May be exposed to fumes, loud noises, and extreme temperatures infrequently. Functional near, far and peripheral vision and functional hearing required.

Heavy, lifting up to 85 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 280 lbs.
