Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist (Industrial Automation) in Reno, NV. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant equipment including PLCs, HMIs, drives, and electrical systems.

The position requires a strong electrical/mechanical background, reading blueprints, and the ability to work on the first shift for onboarding. Benefits start day one, with growth opportunities and comprehensive training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of maintenance experience; OR Technical school diploma; OR Associate’s degree in electronics or commercial/industrial electrical systems.
• Experience reading electrical/mechanical blueprints and schematics.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation is offered. Candidates must be within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical malfunctions across plant machinery, facility systems, and related equipment.
• Service mechanical power presses, power transmission devices, conveyors, and un-coilers.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs, HMIs, VFD drives, vision systems, motor control centers, power distribution centers, and motors (AC, DC, stepper, servo).
• Work with three-phase/single-phase power and control circuits; design/control panel layouts and perform component installations.
• Execute preventive and reactive maintenance on all production equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems and components for hazards/defects and ensure compliance with NEC.
