Job summary

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division in Reno, NV seeks an Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist to troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical faults across plant machinery and facility systems. Core hours are 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM with a base hourly rate of $34.20 plus a $0.50 shift differential per hour.

You will service presses, conveyors, PLCs, HMIs, VFD drives, and perform preventive maintenance, wiring, and component installations to keep operations safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of maintenance experience; OR technical school diploma; OR Associate’s degree in electronics or commercial/industrial electrical systems.
• Experience reading electrical/mechanical blueprints and schematics.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation is offered; candidates within 50 miles of Reno, NV.

Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred qualifications2+ years of PLC troubleshooting or programming experience.Five (5) years’ experience in the electrical field within an industrial/manufacturing environment.Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens software for PLCs, HMIs, and drives.Journeyman Electrician certification.Experience with mechanical power presses, roll forming, sheet metal fabrication, and GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding).Position requirementsValid driver’s license.Previous CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience.Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word).Able to start on 1st shift for training (orientation/onboarding for approximately 4–6 months).Vendor coordination skills to troubleshoot, set up, and source parts for a variety of machinery.Working knowledge of production equipment including clutch/brake systems, gearboxes, hydraulics, compressed gas, water, and cooling systems.Physical demands & work environmentStand for the duration of the shift; kneeling, bending, and climbing required.Regularly lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.Use required PPE per company policy.Work in areas with elevated noise levels (hearing protection may be required).Operate in high-traffic areas with forklift activity.Work indoors and outdoors as needed.Exposure to oils, lubricants, and solvents.Hiring processAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
