Job summary

Arete in Niwot, CO is seeking an Electromechanical Testing Technician to assemble, calibrate, and test AIRTRAC lasers. You will work with scientists, engineers, and technicians to design, develop, test, and produce lasers, handling setup and measurements to support alignment and performance.

The role is full-time, non-exempt, non-supervisory, based in Niwot, CO, with a strong benefits package including ESOP, health coverage, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience, or AA/AS in a Technical or Engineering field or similar relevant discipline.
• Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power meters, optical sensors, cameras, and detectors.
• Good communication skills and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assemble laser systems and test benches for AIRTRAC lasers.
• Align lasers on test benches and calibrate production lasers.
• Run environmental screening tests on laser systems.
• Handle setup and use of complex optical equipment under direction of an optical engineer.
• Conduct optical measurements and testing to support laser alignment and performance.
