Particle Measuring Systems seeks an Engineering Technician III in Niwot, CO. The role is 100% in-office in an engineering laboratory supporting sustaining engineering and new product commercialization.
You will assemble, test, calibrate and troubleshoot electro-optical systems, working with laser and metrology equipment, and collaborating with R&D and manufacturing teams to meet project goals.

We are looking for an Engineering Technician III who will contribute to the success of the Engineering Team, applying their expertise in engineering to support the achievement of team and company goals and deliver innovative, reliable solutions. In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams, demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and maintain a commitment to professional excellence, quality and continuous improvement.
As the Engineering Technician III you’ll be working as part of a team contributing to sustaining engineering and new product commercialization of company products in a research and development laboratory setting. Examples of activities include optical/laser assembly, verification test, engineering technical assistance, instrument calibration, electromechanical troubleshooting, and problem solving. This position reports to the Engineering Laboratory Manager and is instrumental in providing sustaining support of our instrument install base and contribute to our Research & Development teams for new product development.

This role primarily operates in a lab environment. Must be able to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods of time. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required. Competitive hourly range: $30 - $43 per hour, depending on experience. Our compensation philosophy: we offer competitive pay based on market data, including local, national, and industry benchmarks. For new hires, offers are generally within the established min- to mid-point of the range for the role, with flexibility to recognize experience, skills, and education. Our approach ensures fair pay internally while remaining competitive externally and allows room for growth.
