Job summary

Kodama Systems in the San Francisco Bay Area is hiring a Hardware Engineering Technician to turn prototypes into field-ready hardware. You'll build, install, and debug electromechanical systems on our forestry retrofit kits, in our prototyping lab and at OEM factories or dealer lots.

Expect frequent travel up to 50% to factories and dealer sites. The role is hands-on, requires soldering, wiring, and cabinet assembly, and you’ll work closely with engineers to shape products from bench to forest.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electromechanical hardware build and debugging.
• Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Travel to factories and dealer lots up to 50%.
• Proven soldering, crimping, and assembly experience.

Responsibilities

• Build custom hardware and assemble control panels.
• Install hardware on new machines at OEM factories and dealer lots.
• Run the prototyping lab and maintain tools and inventory.
• Execute engineering tests to validate hardware and report results to the design team.
• Debug prototype hardware in lab and field, resolving electrical, mechanical and integration issues.
