Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking an Electromechanical Engineer - Level 2 to join the Vehicle Engineering Directorate in the Space Sector.

The position is onsite in Redondo Beach, CA, and involves performing electromechanical engineering across development and manufacturing stages, producing specifications, designs, and analyses for space-grade hardware. Responsibilities include creating data packages, conducting design reviews, and collaborating within an integrated product team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of relevant experience
• Active SCI access or Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access prior to start date
• Experience with mechanisms design, Electromechanical or opto-mechanical
• Experience with Creo, SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA V5/3DExp

Responsibilities

• Perform Electromechanical engineering on multiple projects through all phases of development and manufacturing
• Develop technical specifications, conceptual designs, trade studies, detail designs, procedures, assembly, testing, and reports
• Assist with technical data packages including fabrication, source control, and assembly drawings in accordance with internal drawing standards
• Perform engineering analysis to validate design solutions with respect to performance, environmental durability, manufacturability, schedule and cost
• Support on-time execution of development programs by mitigating risks and pursuing opportunities
• Assist with internal design reviews and incorporate feedback from reviewers and management
• Employ interpersonal and communication skills within an integrated product team
• Demonstrate accountability to obtain results and contribute to objectives
