Job summary

Salient Motion, Inc. in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a mechanical design engineer to design production hardware and test equipment for aerospace and defense applications. You will work across the organization to develop design requirements, select contract manufacturers, and integrate PCBAs and electronics enclosures.

You have a bachelor's in mechanical engineering, 2+ years' full design-cycle experience, and CAD skills (SolidWorks). Familiarity with DFM and GD&T is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience with the full design cycle from ideation to production.
• Design experience in SolidWorks or other CAD package.
• General knowledge of designing for electrical enclosures.
• Knowledge of DFM and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Design production hardware and test equipment.
• Design and analysis of Electromechanical Systems.
• Work across all levels of the organization to develop design requirements.
• Select and manage contract manufacturers for a variety of manufacturing processes.
• Work with PCBAs and electronics enclosures.
