Job summary

Lighthouse Hiring is seeking an engineer to design, plan, and support installation of mechanical and electromechanical products and plant systems. You will lead program planning, maintain cadences, and collaborate with Sales, R&D, Production, and Service to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, strong CAD skills (Inventor/Vault, SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and experience with PFMEA, DFA, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor/Vault, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
• Strong drafting/3D modeling skills and ability to link models to BOMs.
• Experience with PFMEA, DFA, and manufacturing support.

Responsibilities

• Program planning: outline activities, milestones, and support needs for engineering programs.
• Control cadence: maintain schedules, checklists, budgets and report milestone status.
• Coordinate with Sales, R&D, Production and Service to move deliverables.
• Review drawings/specs to determine procedures and objectives.
• Develop innovative solutions and ensure compliance with standards.
• Create models and detailed drawings for machine and sheet metal shops.
• Support quality, documentation, and configuration control across projects.
• Prepare installation/maintenance procedures and manuals.
• Assist with engineering buyouts and procurement; initiate purchases as needed.
• Travel to production facilities and customer sites as required.
