Job summary

Outland Technology, Inc. in Slidell, Louisiana manufactures diving and inspection-class ROV components. The assembler joins a small team, building electromechanical products from drawings and instructions, and maintains quality standards.

Daily tasks include soldering, wiring, and assembly, with collaboration with engineering to improve methods. This in-person role requires reliability and the ability to handle up to 70 lbs and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronic or mechanical assembly preferred.
• Ability to read basic mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Proficiency with hand tools, soldering equipment, and basic measurement tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Must pass a routine drug screening.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical products according to drawings and work instructions.
• Perform soldering on wires, connectors, and circuit boards.
• Use troubleshooting to identify and correct assembly or wiring issues.
• Work with engineering to improve assembly methods and product manufacturability.
• Review production orders and self-prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Accurately count and record parts during assembly.
• Lift and move items up to 70 lbs.
