Job summary

Ignite Now is seeking an Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager to help lead spectrum lifecycle management for the Missile Defense Agency. You will coordinate system certification, frequency authorization, interference resolution, and global deployment coordination within a fast‑paced defense program.

The role requires military spectrum management expertise, an active TS/SCI or ability to obtain, and experience with NTIA/ spectrum tools.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a military spectrum management school.
  • 4+ years of experience within federal/DoD spectrum management.
  • Ability to obtain or currently hold an Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Experience with Spectrum XXI (SXXI).
  • Knowledge of the NTIA Manual (Redbook).
  • Experience with the GEMSIS suite (Stepstone, Host Nation Spectrum Worldwide Database Online [HNSWD-O], Joint Spectrum Data Repository [JSDR], Integrated Spectrum Desktop).
  • Knowledge of electromagnetic propagation modeling, wave behavior, and signal attenuation.
  • Experience with MATLAB or other programming languages.
  • Knowledge of the Joint Spectrum Interference Resolution Online (JSIR-O) portal.
  • Experience with NTIA EL-CID.
  • Knowledge of standard engineering practices.
  • Experience with automation tools or programming/scripting languages to aid in data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent, thorough, and integrated management, execution, and products of Flight, Technical, Programmatic and Cyber risks through the MDA Risk Working Group (MRWG).
  • Execute Technical Risk assessments to support MDA Operational Capacity List (OCL) Decisions.
  • Provide expert review of evidence related to technical and Cyber risks presented in System and Element requirements and design reviews.
  • Provide support to elements for risk development.
  • Support Mission Execution and disposition of Execution Risks and Event Observations in Daily MRWGs.

ELECTROMAGNETIC SPECTRUM MANAGER - (786)

Ignite is currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Spectrum Management Office (SMO) within the Office of the Chief Engineer. In this role you will focus on advancing mission-critical initiatives through comprehensive spectrum lifecycle management—including system certification, frequency authorization, interference resolution, and global deployment coordination.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, model APIs, evaluation frameworks, and agent testing harnesses
  • Exposure to model hosting, inference pipelines, or cloud-based AI development environments
  • Understanding of secure AI development practices, data protection, and operational constraints in government settings
  • Familiarity with human-in-the-loop workflows, AI assurance, and evaluation methodologies
  • Working knowledge of one or more agentic or orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, Haystack, LlamaIndex, or similar ecosystems
Security Clearance Requirements

Must have an active Secret Security Clearance.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline.
