Job summary

Coreshell Technologies is seeking a Battery Scientist who will bridge experimental electrolyte science and computational chemistry to develop and optimize electrolyte formulations for silicon-dominant anode cells. You will lead rigorous electrochemical characterization and accelerated aging studies, and apply computational tools to prioritize additives and solvents.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrolyte R&D for lithium-ion batteries.
• Expertise in SEI/CEI formation and interfacial chemistry.
• Hands-on electrolyte formulation and additive screening.
• Experience with silicon-dominant anode systems preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrolyte formulation development for silicon-dominant anodes.
• Design data-driven DOE to explore formulation spaces.
• Validate accelerated aging and stress-testing methods.
• Perform electrochemical characterization and chemical analysis.
• Conduct auxiliary characterization to understand degradation.
• Collaborate with R&D, product, and manufacturing to scale formulations.
