Coreshell Technologies is seeking a Battery Lab Technician to support the cell development program. The role involves daily fabrication of developmental electrodes and cells and executing electrochemical testing to generate data for advancing battery chemistries.
You will work closely with scientists in a collaborative lab environment, perform coating, calendering, and assembly tasks, and maintain accurate records while following safety and PPE protocols.
Coreshell's metallurgical Silicon anode technology delivers high capacity, fast-charging, and superior safety. Our low-cost Silicon-dominant batteries have higher energy density, superior intrinsic thermal safety, and significantly lower cost/kWh compared to current LIBs. Coreshell's Si anode material is lower than the cost of graphite and utilizes the largest abundant critical mineral supply in the US and Europe. We strive to transform the global energy and transportation market by enabling cost effective and secure domestic battery supply.
The Battery Lab Technician plays a critical hands‑on role in Coreshell’s cell development program. You will be responsible for the day-to-day fabrication of developmental electrodes and cells, as well as executing electrochemical testing programs that generate the data our scientists need to advance next-generation battery chemistries. This is a highly collaborative, lab-intensive role suited for a technically skilled individual who takes pride in precision and consistency.
A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field is preferred. Candidates with an Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training combined with directly relevant laboratory experience will also be considered.
This role requires sustained work in a laboratory environment involving chemicals, solvents, and battery materials. Proper PPE and safety procedures must be followed at all times. Some weekend or extended-hours work may be required to support ongoing test programs.
