Job summary

Amprius Technologies, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Staff Electrode Process Engineer to own the electrode manufacturing process at the Fremont, CA site. You will manage slurry mixing, coating, calendering, and slitting while ensuring in-spec, defect-free electrodes and on-schedule transfer to the cell-assembly line.

The role combines day-to-day process ownership with bringing new electrode equipment online and transferring new recipes from R&D into production, reporting to the Pilot Line Manager.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in a related engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in lithium-ion battery electrode process engineering.
• Hands-on with slurry mixing, coating, calendering and slitting.
• Proven root-cause analysis and yield improvement experience.
• Familiar with SPC, DOE and measurement systems analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own slurry, coating, calendering and slitting processes for electrodes.
• Track yield and defects; lead 8D/5-Why investigations.
• Implement SPC and inline metrology across the line.
• Run DOE studies to optimize parameters and throughput.
• Lead new equipment/line implementations and tech transfers.
