Job summary

Monarch Quantum in San Diego is seeking a Multi-Disciplinary Engineer 3 (Electro-Optics-Lasers) to build core hardware capabilities from the ground up. The role spans electronic hardware, optics, firmware, and laser control, requiring hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced startup environment.

You will engage across disciplines to design, simulate, test, and validate high-performance laser systems, bringing robust engineering practices and safety awareness to every stage of development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, startup or tech-driven environment preferred.
• Hands-on experience with high-precision, high-power lasers and beam modulation.
• Ability to analyze, fabricate, and test designs to validate performance via real-world testing.
• Strong high-power laser safety experience preferred.
