Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Electrophysics Engineer/Science for a 1-year contract in Albuquerque to develop and validate requirements for complex electro-optical systems. You will design EO/laser architectures, perform trade studies, and lead modeling, simulation and testing efforts across suppliers and internal teams.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in electro-optics, experience with Zemax/CodeV, and a BS in Engineering.

Qualifications

5+ years minimum of related experience.
Education or work experience in Electro-Optics.
Experience with electro-optical systems and fiber optic sensors, lasers, and telecom products.
Experience in laser and EO systems requirements development, integration, testing and analysis.
Willing to relocate to Albuquerque, NM if not within commuting distance.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Develop and validation of requirements for electro-optical systems and components.
Develop architectures to integrate multiple systems into higher level systems.
Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation to predict performance and optimize design.
Design complex electro-optical and laser systems.
Develop new modeling and simulation techniques.
Develop and implement critical tests to validate performance.
Support product lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use.
Coordinate SOW, budget, schedule and reviews.
Generate major sections of large-scale proposals.
Perform some work in a clean room environment.
