Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an Electro-Optical Engineer Lead for the ACES program. You will research, plan, and design gas/solid-state lasers, masers, infrared devices, and related optical/electronic components within defined mechanical limits and specifications.

The role requires experience in design reviews, block diagrams, and Worst Case Circuit Analysis along with strong communication and leadership abilities. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is expected.

Conducts research and plans development and design of gas and solid state lasers, masers, infrared, and other light emitting and light sensitive devices. Designs electronic circuitry and optical components with specific characteristics to fit within specified mechanical limits and to perform according to specifications. May conduct application analysis to determine commercial, industrial, scientific, medical, military or other use for electro-optical devices.

Desired Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education
  • 5+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.

  • Lab experience both in testing Case Circuit Analysis (CCAs) and testing building up lasers
  • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
