Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Louisville, KY seeks a seasoned Electrical Engineer to research, design, and integrate laser and electro-optical devices. The information below reflects the standard job description for this position:

Conducts research and plans development and design of gas and solid state lasers, masers, infrared, and other light emitting and light sensitive devices. Designs electronic circuitry and optical components with specific characteristics to fit within specified mechanical limits and to perform according to specifications. May conduct application analysis to determine commercial, industrial, scientific, medical, military or other use for electro-optical devices.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with lasers
• Understands how and what to monitor regarding power requirements
• Design experience with Zuken/Xpedition
• Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) experience

Desired Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education
• 5+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline
• Clear communication skills
• Experience with Design Reviews
• Experiene building/ integrating lasers in a lab environment
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
