Job summary

Staff Perm in Oak Ridge, TN seeks an Electro-Mechanical Test Technician to set up equipment, calibrate, and troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies in a manufacturing environment.

Under supervision, you will test, troubleshoot, and repair components, follow detailed specs and drawings, document findings, and support engineering with prototype testing.

This role requires a high school diploma, U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, and ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident.
• Experience testing bare and assembled mechanical parts and electronic components.
• Ability to perform sub-assembly and process assembly inspections.
• Proficiency in testing and troubleshooting completed instruments through QA/QC processes.
• Capable of completing production and quality-related documentation.
• Ability to assist Engineering with building and testing prototypes.
• Commitment to quality and engineering standards.
• Maintain clean, organized work area; participate in continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot assemblies using specialized test equipment like oscilloscopes and DMMs.
• Perform precision soldering and rework of electronic assemblies.
• Inspect subassemblies and final products to verify quality against specs.
• Document test results and findings to maintain traceability.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of test equipment and fixtures.
• Support Engineering with assembly, integration, testing, and evaluation of prototypes.
