Job summary

Job description

Electro/Mechanical Test Technician
Responsibilities
  • Perform test and/or inspection of electro‑mechanical products.
  • Apply knowledge of armature/hairspring technology or related coil, magnetic field, and spindle designs.
  • Set up and use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, frequency generators, and multimeters.
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation and records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist engineering personnel in troubleshooting, modifying, and repairing non‑conforming units.
  • Calibrate, conduct in‑line inspection, and perform final inspection of units/assemblies.
  • Maintain test production equipment and fixtures, including soldering work.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and devise solutions.
  • Support and resolve issues with test equipment supplied by the transition group.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in electronics or equivalent military training.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an electro‑mechanical or electronic test environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, troubleshoot from schematics, and assist in writing test procedures.
  • Proficiency in the use of test, inspection, and calibration equipment.
  • Hands‑on manufacturing or shop‑floor experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
  • Proven ability to initiate and implement changes into mature processes.
  • Mechanically inclined; understands production fabrication and assembly.
  • Solid knowledge of machining principles and methods, including conventional and non‑conventional applications.
  • Deep firsthand knowledge of manufacturing operations, providing real‑time shop support with solid troubleshooting skills for consistent production and quality.
