Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Richardson, TX to perform electro-mechanical assembly, disassembly, testing, and repair of electronic and mechanical products. You will work from wiring drawings, operation sheets, and engineering specs to build, modify, test, and rework assemblies, while supporting engineers and maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires precise hand-tool work, ESD practices, and the ability to follow SOPs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, layouts and specs.
• Follow SOPs and safety procedures in manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving and initiative in production contexts.

Responsibilities

• Perform electro-mechanical assembly, disassembly, rework, testing, and repair of electronic and mechanical products.
• Build, test, modify, rework, and repair assemblies per procedures.
• Work from complex wiring drawings, operation sheets, and specs.
• Provide routine technical support to engineers on components and equipment.
• Follow SOPs, safety rules, and production docs.
• Execute manufacturing processes to complete assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Read and assist in developing wiring diagrams and specs for modifications.
• Support and direct personnel on installation and maintenance tasks.
• Handle small, delicate components using proper ESD practices.
• Use hand tools to assemble, rework, repair, and disassemble with precision.
• Meet production deadlines with high throughput and quality.
• Ensure high pass/fail rates and minimize rework.
• Adhere to compliance and safety standards.
• Work in manufacturing and cleanroom environments as required.
