Job summary

Contech in Springfield, IL is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our manufacturing plant. You will apply electrical and mechanical expertise to troubleshoot outages, analyze failures, and implement long-term solutions across equipment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in Electro-Mechanical/Engineering/Electrical Technology or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician or similar in manufacturing.
• Proficient in analyzing hard-wired relay control systems as well as PLCs and HMIs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to recover from equipment outages and identify long-term solutions.
• Analyze equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
• Collaborate with plans and suppliers to resolve equipment issues with sustainable, long-term fixes.
• Develop and maintain electrical/mechanical drawings, PLC/HMI programs for manufacturing equipment.
• Identify timely, cost-effective replacements for obsolete components.
• Manage and improve remote interface capabilities.
