Job summary

RISINGSUN TECHNOLOGIES seeks a detail-oriented Mechanical Drafter to support design, documentation, and manufacturing for electrical power distribution and circuit breaker products. Proficiency in AutoCAD and mechanical drafting is required, with collaboration across engineering, production, sourcing, and quality teams.

The role requires at least 1 year of CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro/E) and strong accuracy in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or equivalent) in Drafting, Mechanical Design, 3D Modeling or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience using mechanical CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical drafting using AutoCAD.
• Create and organize general arrangement and physical outline drawings within timelines.
• Convert CAD files as required.
• Use Pro/ENGINEER to generate 3D models when requested.
• Review drawing packages for accuracy and typographical errors.
• Prepare as-built drawing packages, test reports for submittals.
• Maintain engineering drawing files in the DMS.
• Support production, sourcing, and quality teams.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Drafter to support the design, documentation, and manufacturing processes for electrical power distribution and circuit breaker products. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD and mechanical drafting principles, along with the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, sourcing, and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical drafting using current-generation AutoCAD software.
• Generate, modify, and organize general arrangement and physical outline drawings accurately and within project timelines.
• Convert CAD files as required.
• Utilize Pro/ENGINEER (Pro-E) to generate 3D models when requested.
• Review mechanical and electrical drawing packages for technical accuracy and typographical errors.
• Prepare approval and as-built drawing packages, CT curves, and test reports for customer submittals.
• Manage and maintain engineering drawing files within the document management system.
• Update order tracking databases with accurate and timely information.
• Support production, industrialization, sourcing, and quality teams as needed.
• Follow applicable engineering specifications and national/international industry standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience using mechanical CAD software such as:
• AutoCAD

• Pro/ENGINEER (Pro-E)
