Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking an experienced technician to work in Pilot & Pre-Production Lines performing electro-mechanical assembly of electronic products and support equipment.

You will read engineering drawings, follow work instructions, and may need to work additional hours including weekends to meet schedules. The role involves assembling electronic and mechanical subassemblies and supporting continuous improvement in production processes.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or 2+ years as a technician in production or prototype environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and sketches.
• Experience with micro/nano scale fabrication and precision assembly.
• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 and J-STD-001 standards is a plus.

Skills Required

• Required skills include proficient use of electronic test equipment, electrical assembly tools and hand tools. Specific skills include:
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
• Precision and fine motor skills required for micro/nano scale fabrication, assembly, test with near zero defects.
• Must be able to demonstrate high degree of mechanical aptitude and J-STD-001 or have knowledge of these requirements.
• Conduct tests using electronics test equipment (ie. Scopes, meters, etc) and generate test report data.
• Must demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.

Skills Preferred

Preferred skills include:

• Ability to communicate feedback to the team to support design, fabrication and test improvements.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve assembly issues.
• Cirris and/or Automated Test Equipment operator experience
• Troubleshooting of electronic and electro-mechanical systems
• Trained and proficient in manufacturing & quality requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 and J-STD-001 or have knowledge of these requirements
• Basic understanding of GD&T

Experience Required

• 2-year technical degree or a Minimum of 2 years as a technician performing related tasks, either in a production or prototype environment.
