An Electro-Mechanical Technician job is available with a service client in Mountville, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance in a freezer environment. You will manage and direct the day-to-day performance of the material handling equipment supported by your specific team. Your decisions can have a moderate to high-level impact on business operations. We're looking for someone with at least 3-5 years' experience at a distribution center with an automated material handling system, solid mechanical/electrical skills, and troubleshooting experience with control devices (i.e., photo eyes, scanners, encoders, proximity switches, motor controllers, network devices, etc.).

2nd shift, 6pm-6am, Wednesday to Friday 3-4-4-3. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Repair and maintenance of MHE including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, component lubrication, etc.
2. Completes preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
3. Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
4. Create and close work orders into the asset management system with appropriate data to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
5. Troubleshoot conveyance problems and understand resources needed to resolve them.
6. Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
7. Perform complex maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.
8. Help with training customers to operate equipment.
9. Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
10. Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
11. Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. HS diploma or equivalent required. Vocational technical training preferred.
2. 3-5 years' experience in mechanical knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
3. Mechanical maintenance experience with conveyor equipment experience is preferred as well as drives, gearboxes, sprockets, chains, bearings, guide rollers, and other related equipment.
4. Must have experience interpreting schematic, mechanical, electrical, ladder logic, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
5. Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts.
6. Must be able to act calmly in stressful situations.
7. Must be able to write concise, clear, and complete trip reports in the time frame required according to Client's procedures.
8. Must have knowledge in the use of personal computers for word processing, database functions, and communications.
9. Able to evaluate and analyze minor mechanical failures, perform root cause analysis, and recommend countermeasures.
