Electro - Mechanical Technician
Middletown, RI
Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $29.52-$34.52/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Support engineering teams by assembling, testing, and troubleshooting circuit cards, electro-mechanical systems, cables, and lab/test fixtures for development, test, and production programs.
Assemble and test circuit cards and electro-mechanical systems following technical drawings and work instructions.
Perform rework, modifications, and repairs on electronic assemblies.
Fabricate cable assemblies, including molding and epoxy application.
Build test fixtures and assist in lab and facility infrastructure modifications.
Operate standard lab test equipment and automated test systems.
Accurately document build details, test data, anomalies, and defect reports.
Contribute to continuous improvement and workplace organization initiatives.
Collaborate with engineers to provide feedback on process improvements.
Support travel to offsite test facilities as required.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract regulations.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in electronic/mechanical assembly and testing.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and datasheets.
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Hands-on experience using standard electronics test equipment.
Skilled in using hand tools and small power tools.
IPC certifications preferred: IPC J-STD-001 Class 3, IPC-7711, and IPC-7721.
