Job description

Position: Electro Mechanical Technician

The Electro Mechanical Technician will be responsible for supporting production operations, testing, and maintaining unmanned, automated, robotic, or electromechanical equipment.

The 3rd Shift schedule would be Sunday through Thursday, 10:45 PM - 6:45 AM.

What you’ll do as an Electro Mechanical Technician:
  1. Possess a continuous desire for learning and improvement related to the Electro Mechanical position.
  2. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of USPC operations.
  3. Perform all maintenance functions, including electro-mechanical tasks, both independently and as part of a team.
  4. Operate electro-mechanical equipment for USPC.
  5. Take an electronics course from an accredited university (preferably a mega-tronics course).
  6. Show knowledge of programming USPC equipment.
  7. Work with PLCs and USPC programs.
  8. Read and interpret electronic schematics.
Qualifications for an Electro Mechanical Technician:
  1. In-depth knowledge of electronic systems, PLCs, and USPC equipment.
  2. Experience with Allen-Bradley software, including RSLogix 500 and RSLogix 5000.
  3. Familiarity with Siemens S7 software.
  4. Ability to use a computerized work order system.
  5. High attention to detail, following written procedures and guidelines.
  6. Effective teamwork and leadership skills.
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

This role involves working in an enclosed manufacturing environment, requiring:

  • Sitting approximately 20% of the time; standing and walking about 80%.
  • Lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.
  • Twisting, reaching, and bending.
  • Manipulating objects and operating tools and machinery.
  • Working around moving parts, pallets, trucks, and machines with safety precautions.
  • Wearing PPE, including hearing protection and steel-toed shoes.

This position is on-site at our Erlanger, KY facility.
