Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II (T2) for the 2nd shift in Austin, TX.

You will work hands-on in a cleanroom to assemble, test, and repair multimillion-dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment, following SOPs and using fixtures, meters, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps. You will verify parts, perform audits for defects, document progress, and may install software to improve processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–2 years semiconductor or display experience, or comparable industry/military experience.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair and test equipment per work orders and schematics.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations and troubleshooting.
• Receive parts and conduct audits for part availability and defects.
• Document progress and labor details; run software installs if needed.
