Corning Incorporated is seeking an on-site Electro-Mechanical Technician in Vandergrift, PA to support advanced glass production equipment within Corning’s Emerging Innovations Group. You will diagnose, repair, and optimize automated systems, collaborating with engineers and operators to accelerate manufacturing readiness and commercialization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with automated manufacturing equipment.
• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Siemens PLCs, especially S7 and TIA Portal.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with diagnostic tools.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve automated manufacturing equipment used in insulated glass unit production.
• Support HEGLA glass cutting systems, Glaston panel assembly equipment, automated material handling systems, vacuum and pneumatic glass handling equipment, and related manufacturing utilities.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues involving Siemens PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, motion control systems, pneumatics, and industrial networks.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment performance and reliability.
• Support installation, startup, commissioning, validation, and integration of new equipment and manufacturing technologies.
• Partner with engineers on root cause investigations, corrective actions, equipment modifications, controls upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
