Job summary

Night shift from 5pm to 5am on a Panama swing schedule; duties include repairs, PM routines, and documentation while ensuring safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or vocational training preferred.
• Specialized skill training or certification preferred.
• 2–3 years troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of MHE, including belt tracking, adjustments, and lubrication.
• Complete preventive maintenance routines and documentation.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot circuitry.
• Create and close work orders with labor hours and parts used.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and identify required resources.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Perform routine maintenance and testing to meet specs.
• Respond to service calls and fix equipment faults.
• Identify problems and take corrective steps.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across the organization.

Position Overview

Electro‑Mechanical Technician Level3 will provide day‑to‑day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) located at the DHL/Nike facility in Memphis, TN.

Shift & Schedule

Night shift from 5pm to 5am on a Panama swing schedule. Example schedule: Week1 – Work on Mon, Tue; OFF on Wed, Thu; Work on Fri, Sat, Sun. Week2 – OFF on Mon, Tue; Work on Wed, Thu; OFF on Fri, Sat, Sun.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay range: $28.00 to $33.50 an hour. Additional compensation determined by location, education, experience, knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of MHE, including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and lubrication.
• Complete preventive maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot circuitry.
• Create and close work orders in the asset management system with labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot semi‑complex problems and determine required resources.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure specifications are met.
• Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or vocational technical training preferred.
• Specialized skill training or certification preferred.
• 2‑3 years of troubleshooting electro‑mechanical equipment preferred.
• Proven experience in the area of responsibility and successful demonstration of the above key responsibilities.
• Able to lift and move material up to 50pounds each.

Physical Requirements

• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching, both below the waist and above the head.
• Occasional push and pull of wheeled dollies up to 100pounds.
• Able to climb ladders and gangways safely.
• Will working in small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, standing on concrete for up to 10–12 hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
• Flexibility to cover multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
