Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 in Lebanon, TN to troubleshoot and perform preventive/predictive maintenance on industrial material handling equipment. The shift runs 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, Sunday through Thursday, with overtime as needed.

The role focuses on repairing and maintaining MHE, using electrical test equipment, and ensuring equipment runs efficiently by completing detailed work orders and responsive service calls.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or vocational-technical training desirable.
• 2-3 years of troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds and work in diverse conditions.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belt tracking, adjustments, lubrication.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines and document work.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuitry using test equipment.
• Create detailed work orders with labor hours, parts, and equipment maintained.
• Respond to service calls, diagnose root causes, and resolve equipment faults.

Job description

The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on industrial material handling equipment. Acts as a material handling technician on all equipment that is installed at the Lebanon, TN. The shift hours for this role will be 10:00 pm - 6:30 am, Sunday Night through Thursday Night. Additional overtime may be required based on customer needs.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $28 to $33.50 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications

What You Will Do In This Role

• Effectively repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE) inclusive of belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and component lubrication.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures to aid in the efficient running of equipment.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Create and complete detailed work orders in asset management system with appropriate data to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and understand the resources needed to resolve them.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory ensure minimal downtime.
• Performs routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.
• Respond to service calls; diagnose root causes to correct equipment failures and faults.
• Promptly Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to resolve them to ensure the smooth operation of facility equipment.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

What We Are Looking For

• We welcome applicants with a High School diploma or equivalent experience. Preferably, an associate degree or vocational-technical training is desirable. Specialized skill training/certification is helpful.
• 2-3 years of troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.
• Proven experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.
• Ability to lift and move material up to 50 pounds.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
• Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
• Demonstrate Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
