Job summary

Pelican Products, Inc. is seeking an Electro‑Mechanical Technician in South Deerfield, MA. You will troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on manufacturing equipment.

The role includes preventive maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, and collaborating with contractors to support facility projects. Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of electro‑mechanical experience, a MA Journeyman Electrical license, and the ability to read complex schematics.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of electro‑mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Massachusetts State Journeyman Electrical License.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Intermediate knowledge of PLCs and computer‑controlled manufacturing equipment.
• Working knowledge of NEC requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical docs.
• Capable of operating forklifts and man lifts with required certifications.
• Comfort working at elevated heights.
• Basic computer skills (Windows) and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades to equipment and facilities.
• Inspect equipment and identify worn parts to prevent failures.
• Use PLCs to troubleshoot machine controls and network issues.
• Read and update electrical schematics to support repairs and projects.
• Collaborate with external contractors on electrical and facility projects.
• Provide technical direction and training to junior maintenance technicians.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
