Job summary

Bosch Mobility Aftermarket is seeking a systems-level design engineer for Air-Conditioning Service products. You will define architecture, integrate software, hardware and mechanical components, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver on time, on spec, and on budget.

Responsibilities include documenting system designs, coordinating testing for UL/CE certifications, creating test plans, analyzing designs with FMEAs, and maintaining complete project records.

Qualifications

• Four year Engineering degree, BSEE preferred.
• 3+ years related experience preferred.
• Proven design skills with similar product.
• CAD experience (SolidWorks) preferred; LabVIEW preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and document system level architecture design of the AC service products.
• Create system level design documentation.
• Coordinate testing and documentation required to achieve and maintain product certifications (UL, CE, etc.).
• Create test plans and reports to validate design concepts.
• Troubleshoot problems to assist with manufacturing or reduce warranty costs.
• Team leadership - lead the project team to be creative, accurate, detailed, and professional.
• Perform design analysis and FMEA's on system designs to assure form, fit, function, and safety.
• Maintain project documentation, i.e. design reviews, FMEAs, design specifications, wiring diagrams, test plans, etc.
• Represent the Design Engineering Team with professionalism and integrity when communication with the Customer, Cross Functional Teams and the entire organization.
• Takes full responsibility for providing the customer (internal and external) with service and products (documentation, prototypes, etc.) that exceed customer’s expectations.
