Job summary

Bosch Mobility Aftermarket is seeking a system-level design engineer for ACS products. You will develop high-level architecture for electro-mechanical systems, coordinating software, hardware, and controls with a cross-functional team to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires innovation, detail-orientation, and comfort in fast-paced multi-project environments. U.S. work authorization is required and the position offers competitive salary and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Four year Engineering degree, BSEE preferred.
• 3+ years related experience preferred.
• Proven design skills, utilizing knowledge of similar product.
• Proficiency in PC skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, etc), CAD experience (Solidworks) preferred, Labview preferred.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment. Experience working with global/international teams also highly desirable.
• Previous experience with product certifications (UL) preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills with solid documentation skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects keeping accurate documentation and records
• Ability to work well with challenging individuals and customers

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and document system level architecture design of the AC service products.
• Coordinate testing and documentation required to achieve and maintain product certifications (UL, CE, etc.)
• Create test plans and reports to validate design concepts.
• Troubleshoot problems to assist with manufacturing or reduce warranty costs.
• Team leadership - lead the project team to be creative, accurate, detailed, and professional.
• Perform design analysis and FMEA‘s on system designs to assure form, fit, function, and safety.
• Represent the Design Engineering Team with professionalism and integrity when communicating with the Customer, Cross Functional Teams and the entire organization.
• Takes full responsibility for providing the customer (internal and external) with service and products (documentation, prototypes, etc.) that exceed customer’s expectations.
