Job summary

Benshaw Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA seeks an Electro-Mechanical Technician I-II to wire, assemble and test low/medium voltage drives and control equipment from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, using hand/power tools and harnesses while maintaining quality.

Shifts available: 1st 6am–2:30pm and 2nd 2pm–12:30am, with overtime and weekends as needed. On-site position with cross-training opportunities and a benefits package including medical, vision, dental and a 401(k) with employer match.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire.
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 2+ years demonstrated wiring experience.
• In-depth understanding of wire color codes, wire size, schematics, creep and strike distances, measuring, torque tolerance and hardware assembly.
• Experience and ability to use all tools needed to complete assembly and wiring requirements, including screw drivers, hand tools, sockets, wire crimpers and impact drivers.
• Ability to work independently to complete milestones.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety, customer service and teamwork.
• Demonstrated ability to meet quality and productivity standards within team.
• Willingness to cross-train in other departments.

Responsibilities

• Complete a variety of wiring and assembly operations to support Benshaw Inc., wiring and wiring harness installation per electrical schematics and shop instructions.
• Follow company workmanship standards and use electronic parts, ohm meters, hand tools and electric tools.
• Cross-train opportunities to enhance skills and support team needs.
