Twenty-Six Defense is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler II to assemble, inspect, and perform acceptance testing on complex electro-optical systems. The role requires working from engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions, with potential disassembly and repair in a repair environment at Merrimack or other off-site locations.

The position involves handling hazardous materials and operating basic electrical test equipment, with opportunities to support engineering in failure

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1–3 years in manufacturing of electro-mechanical subassemblies.
• Ability to work directly from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with basic electrical testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform electro-mechanical or opto-mechanical assembly, disassembly, or modification of production hardware or customer systems per drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Perform acceptance inspection to ensure compliance with drawings and contractual requirements.
• Conduct assembly-level acceptance testing per approved procedures.
• Diagnose and isolate faults to basic level.
• Assist Engineering in failure analysis and corrective actions.
• Repair customer-owned products from failure reports using drawings or repair manuals.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.
