Job summary

Applied Materials in Austin, TX seeks a Manufacturing Technician for 18‑month contract work. Responsibilities include building, repairing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical, electro‑mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum assemblies.

Two shifts are available with pay differentials for Second and Weekend shifts. Minimum 2+ years in similar roles, and a High School Diploma or Associate Degree are required. Safety and quality are emphasized in a hands‑on manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of Manufacturing Technician or related experience.
• High School Diploma or Associate Degree.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and mechanical assembly experience.
• Electrical and electronic troubleshooting experience.
• Experience in manufacturing and assembly environments.
• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, test, and troubleshoot electrical, electro‑mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum assemblies.
• Utilize schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists, and work instructions to complete tasks.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations and equipment troubleshooting.
• Identify and correct assembly or testing errors.
• Enter production progress and labor details into systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety protocols.
