Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking an Engineering Technician II for the 2nd shift in Austin, TX. You will perform routine to moderately complex electro-mechanical technical functions including design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems.

The role requires following schematics, documenting procedures, testing on AMAT platforms, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to perform routine to moderately complex electro-mechanical tasks.
• Able to read schematics and follow factory documentation and plans.
• Focus on safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform electro-mechanical functions such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting and assembly.
• Test and troubleshoot system and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Assist in NPI installations and field upgrades, and perform rework as needed.
• Maintain logs, procedures and safety compliance; follow all safety policies.
