Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Experience in woodworking machinery maintenance is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand, bend, kneel and work in awkward positions for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and automated systems, including CNC machinery, saws, routers, and conveyor systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Inspect and maintain electrical wiring, motors, controls, switches, and circuit boards to ensure functionality and safety compliance.
  • Repair or replace malfunctioning equipment parts to minimize downtime.
  • Perform preventive maintenance including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machine parts.
  • Assist in installation and setup of new equipment or modifications to existing systems.
  • Collaborate with production staff to minimize disruptions.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
  • Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements for efficiency and reliability.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in our woodworking manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all electro-\-mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure the smooth operation of the production process. This role requires a strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems, with a focus on improving machine performance, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Technical Certification or Associate’s Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in electro-\-mechanical maintenance, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience in woodworking machinery maintenance is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Certifications: Electrical or mechanical certification is a plus (e.g., OSHA, HVAC, PLC troubleshooting).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in awkward positions for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-\-paced, noisy manufacturing environment.
  • Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
  • Work in production areas with exposure to noise, dust, vibration, and ergonomic stressors while wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • Perform job duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive motion in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds regularly, and greater weights with assistance as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-\-time position with regular working hours.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet production schedules or urgent maintenance needs.
  • Must be available for on-\-call emergency maintenance outside of regular working hours.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn at all times.
