Job summary

Smyth’s Chicago facility is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to keep our label and packaging production running at peak performance. You will troubleshoot and repair a wide range of industrial equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

We require 2+ years of industrial machinery maintenance, the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings, and strong troubleshooting skills. The role is based in Mundelein, IL with full-time hours and potential for overtime.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain electro-mechanical equipment, motion controls, motors, pneumatic systems, and pumps.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to diagnose issues.
• Maintain inventory records and replenish machine parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
• Follow and promote all safety policies; identify and report unsafe conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain electro-mechanical equipment, motion controls, motors, pneumatic systems, and pumps
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems using precision measuring and testing instruments
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to diagnose issues
• Maintain inventory records and replenish machine parts, tools, and maintenance supplies
• Follow and promote all safety policies; identify and report unsafe conditions
