We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician – Electrical & Mechanical to join our manufacturing team.
This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who excels in mechanical upkeep, electrical troubleshooting, and the application of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols. You will play a vital role in supporting our production goals by diagnosing equipment issues, performing essential repairs, and ensuring our electrical and mechanical systems remain in peak operating condition.
Compensation and Schedule
- Shift Timing: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Hourly Rate: $30.00 per hour.
- Flexibility to support weekend work, overtime, or alternative shifts as business needs arise.
Core Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve issues within high- and low-voltage power systems, including 3-phase circuits up to 480V, VFDs, sensors, and control panels to keep operations running smoothly.
- Maintain and repair various mechanical assets such as pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, and chains.
- Analyze equipment malfunctions to determine root causes, helping to prevent future production delays.
- Execute routine preventive and predictive maintenance tasks on all facility systems.
- Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly adhering to LOTO protocols during all service activities.
- Utilize technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics to guide repair work.
- Verify the functionality of circuits and electrical components using specialized diagnostic tools.
- Install, replace, or repair a variety of mechanical parts and electrical controls.
- Contribute to facility improvements by assisting with equipment upgrades, rebuilds, and new installations.
- Provide rapid response to emergency breakdowns to restore production efficiency.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance tasks, parts inventory, and equipment status.
- Collaborate with production staff to boost equipment reliability and minimize unexpected downtime.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the facility.
- Ensure full compliance with all internal safety policies and electrical regulations.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing setting.
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical issues.
- Direct experience managing 3-phase electrical systems ranging from 450V to 480V.
- Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical maintenance and general repair work.
- Technical background in troubleshooting VFDs, motor starters, sensors, and electrical panels.
- Practical knowledge of LOTO safety procedures.
- Skilled in interpreting complex wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics.
- Proficiency in operating standard electrical testing and diagnostic instrumentation.
- Familiarity with standard preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills to solve problems and perform root cause investigations.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment while operating around energized machinery.
- Physical capacity to lift loads up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to adjust your schedule for overtime or weekend shifts when necessary.
